Tallowood School has a hydrotherapy pool which is heated to 32 degrees. The opportunity is offered to all students to swim weekly. Some senior students travel to Blacktown Leisure Centre to incorporate travel training and community social skills into their learning program.
Tallowood has a range of therapy/flotation devices and trained teachers to implement physical therapy, sensory programs and encourage the development of independent swimming. A cohort of students also participate annually in a Department of Education and Communities swimming school.
