From NSW Health to remind your community of COVID-smart Health messages
NSW Health have recently shared some timely reminders to the community about how we can stay COVID-smart, particularly over the school holidays and with rising COVID-19 cases.
Keep sick children home from childcare and school
Many viruses have similar symptoms, including gastro and COVID-19. Remind your parents and carers that if their child is unwell they must keep them home and get them to take a rapid antigen or PCR test to make sure they don’t have COVID-19. Stay protected against new variants
With rising numbers of COVID-19 in the community, NSW Health would like to remind everyone that the best way to reduce your risk of serious illness and stay protected against new variants of COVID-19, including the Omicron BA.2 subvariant, is to keep up to date with your vaccinations.
Registering a positive Rapid Antigen Test (RAT)
Remind your community about the requirement for them to register a positive RAT result with Service NSW as soon as possible and immediately self-isolate for 7 days.
