Work Experience

Work experience at Tallowood is a focus for students in Year 7 to Year 12.  All work experience programs prepare students for their transition to an appropriate post school option.

Some Year 10 to Year 12 students have the opportunity to participate in out of school workplace environments.  These workplaces have included Clean-Pac service, operated by the Endeavour Foundation at Seven Hills and David Morgan Enterprises, operated by the Wesley Mission at Dundas.  During these placements students have the opportunity to 'work' in a real work place environment.

Students in Year 7 to Year 12 participate in 'in school work experience'.  Some of these activities include preparing food for the 'Healthy Lunch Box' and 'Soups and Salads' programs, caring for Tallowood Farm, selling drinks around the school, working with 'The Men's Shed' and filling Trauma Teddies.

Tallowood is proud to be able to provide students with individualised valuable work experiences.
